DeLille Cellars and Sparkman Cellars Announce Plans to Move to Former Redhook Brewery Site

Two celebrated Washington State wineries will join Teatro ZinZanni in move to former brewery property in Woodinville’s Hollywood District.

DeLille Cellars, a pioneering Washington State winery and currently the third oldest in Woodinville, along with Sparkman Cellars, a celebrated family owned and operated Washington State winery, have announced that both wineries will be moving their Woodinville winemaking operations, tasting rooms and event spaces to the former Redhook brewery property in Woodinville’s Hollywood District.

DeLille and Sparkman will be joining the iconic dinner-theater company Teatro ZinZanni at the site.  For those who have never seen a Teatro ZinZanni show, it is a three-hour whirlwind extravaganza that combines improv comedy, vaudeville revue, music, dance, and circus acts…all served up with a multi-course feast.

Additionally, an announcement on plans for a restaurant at the former Redhook pub is expected in the coming months.

 “We’ve been honored to serve our customers in Woodinville over the last 26 years and are excited to build upon that legacy,” said Tom Dugan, CEO of DeLille Cellars. “This move will help our company and employees continue to grow, as well as support the Woodinville community as we continue to spread the word about the world-class wine coming from Washington State.”

Sparkman Cellars, the first to sign a lease at the former Redhook site, will be consolidating its winemaking, tasting room and event spaces under one roof. Currently, Sparkman Cellars has two tasting rooms in Woodinville == one in the Hollywood District and the other in the Warehouse District of Woodinville.

 “We feel privileged to be part of the group that is bringing this historic place back to life for our Woodinville community,” said Kelly Sparkman, founder of Sparkman Cellars. “We are very excited about the next chapter in the Sparkman Cellars story.”

 Just 30 minutes northeast of Seattle, Woodinville continues to expand its winemaking and wine tasting offerings with more than 120 wineries and tasting rooms to date, making this a must stop destination for food and wine enthusiasts.

“We are excited to have Sparkman Cellars, DeLille Cellars and their world-class wines moving to our corner of Woodinville Wine Country,” said Ted Baseler, president and CEO of Chateau Ste. Michelle. “Their presence only enhances our neighborhood as a premier wine destination.”

DeLille Cellars

DeLille’s new space will be approximately 30,000 square feet with 9,000 square feet of retail/event space, 5,000 square feet of office space and 16,000 square feet of winemaking/production space. Additionally, DeLille will be opening a three-story retail tower and rooftop deck, where guests can enjoy wine while overlooking the Woodinville wine country with views of Mount Rainier. The larger space and adjoining winemaking facility will provide for a variety of elevated experiences, including:

* Tours and tastings

* Private and reserve tastings (food and wine pairings, blending seminars, and library wine retrospectives)

* Enhanced space for Wine Club membership, including a multilevel Wine Club lounge with rooftop deck

* Private tasting rooms and event spaces

* Outdoor seating

DeLille’s current operations, a winemaking facility on Woodinville Drive and its Carriage House tasting room in the Hollywood District, will remain open until the new space is built out.  In addition, the winery’s wine lounge, Maison DeLille, will continue to offer wine flights, glass pours and small bites to the Kirkland community indefinitely, and the DeLille Cellars Chateau will continue as a venue for weddings and private events.

Founded in 1992, DeLille brings history and nostalgia to the Redhook site, which originally opened in 1994. Having just celebrated its 25th anniversary, this will be the first time since 1998 that the majority of DeLille’s operations will be under one roof. The new space is slated to open in April of 2019.

Sparkman Cellars

Sparkman Cellars’ new winery will include an intimate tasting room, a wraparound outdoor patio with fire pits, a grand event hall with a vaulted ceiling, multiple private event spaces and an expanded production facility.

Features of the new location include:

  • Exclusive Wine Club member experiences
  • Retail/event space of 9,000 square feet
  • Multiple flight offerings
  • Library and reserve tastings
  • Private barrel experiences
  • Educational seminars
  • Live music
  • Small bites

Sparkman Cellars currently operates a tasting room and winemaking facility in the Woodinville Warehouse District and a tasting room in the Hollywood District. Both locations will remain open until the new winery is completed, which is slated for Fall 2018.

Sparkman Cellars is known for world-class wines, and since its launch in 2004, has grown production to 12,000 cases annually with nationwide distribution.

“Even though we have built the winery beyond our original plans, Sparkman Cellars remains a close-knit family culture that delivers tasty wines through warm, authentic hospitality. That will not change,” says founder Chris Sparkman.
